Quote I’ve Been Pondering

Move out of your comfort zone.
You can only grow if you are willing to
feel awkward and uncomfortable when you try something new.

  1. This is so true! And as a parent, it is great if you can show your kids that you are willing to move out of your comfort zone and try new things, laugh at yourself, and learn from it. The kids will be more apt to follow an example of a parent who isn’t afraid to move out of their confort zone.

Hi Kweenmama! This is a real challenge for me, because I’m not really the adventurous type, but God is working on me in that department.

  2. This is true, but can be so very hard. It’s a never ending process, too. Our comfort zone increases as we push, so we have to continue to push to keep it growing.
It’s an important part of ministry, too, as so often the people who need the Word the most are those we might not be comfortable around.

Greetings! Yes, you are right. Getting out of our comfort zone is a never ending process, but may God help us to keep on pushing that we might grow in Him. Thanks for stopping by today.

  3. Hi, this reminds of the saying I heard in an assertiveness workshop once that has always stuck in my head (I think it was the only aspect of the workshop that did !)
“if you always do what you’ve always done,
you’ll always get what you’ve always got” !
Simple..but effective I think. (And dependent upon the desire for change of course.)
Hi Colleen. I’ve heard that saying before also and can see how it too applies to getting out of our comfort zone. Thanks for visiting and for sharing your thoughts here.
