Take Off

Stand,

when you’ve

 done all that

you know to do;

praying to the One

who is all sufficient,

well able to meet the need,

having borne the world’s burdens.

Fear not to cast your every struggle

upon the capable shoulders of God.

Your deep cares will not overwhelm Him

but as the great load is released

to His sustaining power,

your strength will be renewed,

and to your delight

you will soon find

on faith’s wings

 you can

fly!

  1. Thank you for the poem. “STAND” and “FLY” , yes! That’s exactly what we’re doing from day to day. Standing firm knowing that He knows ALL our needs and will renew our strength. My husband’s job is in a ???? who knows what’s next. The lay-offs have even hit the hospitals now. They have been reduced to a 4-day work week which just puts them a few minutes from losing their benefits and being considered part-timers. We are STANDING, knowing God will provide. He always has! This economy is “stressful” to most and I can understand their concerns. I could lose everything and I would still have “something”!! Again, Thanks!

Greetings. It sounds like we’re much in the same boat. My husband is self-employed, and his business has really gone down the tubes. He’s been doing a lot of marketing to try and create new work, but thus far he has nothing that’s a sure thing. You know, for some reason the bills just don’t stop coming when your income ceases. 🙂 However, we are praying and believing God who has helped us through financial crises in the past. I’ll keep you and your husband in my prayers, and please keep us in yours. Thanks for stopping by today.

  2. Hi Carol. Psalm 46:10 comes to mind as I read this. Thanks for the encouragement.

Hi Aseri. It’s so good to hear from you. Thanks for stopping by today. Love you too.

  4. Once again a wonderful poem. Once a poem is published on a blog…can it be considered for publication elsewhere? You really should explore a Christian publisher for your works.

Thanks for the compliment. I am thinking about publication elsewhere but nothing definite as of yet.
