A Tree For All Seasons

Every year around this time, our crape myrtle tree comes into bloom, producing the beautiful fuschia colored flowers that are seen in this picture.

It’s almost hard to believe that this photo is the same tree.  The only difference is the season.  Perhaps in your walk with God, you’re feeling more like this tree.  Sometimes when we’re going through trials and difficult circumstances, it’s easy to feel like we are in a long, long winter season.  However, seasons do pass and God is faithful to bring us out of our winter as long as we continue holding onto Him.

Lord, help us to continue to abide in You during every season that You in Your wisdom and love allow in our lives, knowing that You are working all things together for our good!

Psalm 1:1  Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

1:2  But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

1:3  And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Romans 8:28  And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

  1. Appreciate your post, and love the picture of the blossoming crape myrtle. I miss those trees, we had them in the Central Valley but they don’t do too well where we now live.
