working, sleeping, eating, praying, reading the Bible, teaching, baking, fighting sickness – All of these things I’ve been doing, but I haven’t been BLOGGING. I’m still around. I just can’t seem to get my thoughts together enough to write a post. Is this blogger’s block? Hope all of you are enjoying the Christmas season.

Less Of Me
The Weight Loss Quest
When I went to Hawaii, I ended up gaining 3 lbs., which really isn’t bad for being gone 10 days. I was able to lose that weight and another 3 lbs., so now I am 14 lbs. lighter. It’s not coming off as fast as I would like it, but by God’s grace, I’m pressing on and adopting that turtle mentality.

Blog World
With school starting back, taking care of our house and church activities, I will probably not be posting as often as I have in the past. I will shoot to do one post a week and will visit all of your wonderful blogs when I can. I hope all of you are enjoying Labor Day and looking forward to the beautiful fall season as much as I am.
Two Years Already?
It’s hard to believe, but May 10th marked my two year anniversary in the blogging world. What a fun adventure it has been! I have not only enjoyed writing posts, but it has been great meeting so many wonderful people in the blogging world. I have been challenged, encouraged and inspired by so many things I have read on other people’s blogs, and I hope there are those that feel the same way about my blog. I enjoy writing, but I want it(and I ask God to use it)to be a ministry too. Thanks to all of you that encourage me with your posts and to those who have stopped by and offered comments or suggestions here. I’m glad our cyber paths have crossed.
Happy Blogiversary To Me!
One year ago on this day, I began my blog, and it has been quite an adventure! I have enjoyed the challenge of coming up with things to write about and also the privilege of meeting some truly wonderful people through blogging. My desire is that God will use this blog for His glory. Thank you to all my blogging friends who have been there to spur me on with your encouragement and support. I love and appreciate each one of you and look forward to our continued correspondence.
New Kid On The Blog
Today, my older brother Tom finally took the plunge and started his very own blog. I now have only 2 other siblings that don’t have a blog, so hopefully, this will put the pressure on them to start and share their wit and wisdom with everyone. I invite you to check out Tom’s blog and leave a comment. Here is his address.

The Big 50 00!
I was checking my blog and just happened to notice that I was at 5,000 exactly! Thanks to everyone who has “hit” me. The numbers are nice, but really and truly, I want this to be a blog where others can receive inspiration, encouragement and a good laugh now and then. Life is too short for anything less.
P.S. I just finished my Spanish course. Gloria Dios!
I’d Rather Be Blogging
It is with great difficulty that I must announce that I will be laying low on blogging this week. Other responsibilities which cannot be ignored are demanding my attention. It’s hard to imagine that there are things more important than blogging, isn’t it?
Over 3,000 Hits!
I’d like to thank my reading audience for this monumental event……………over 3,000 hits! Who ever would have thunk? It’s been a great journey thus far, and I’ve made some wonderful blogger friends, and have gleaned some great insights from posts that I have read. Let the adventure continue.
Hit and Run
I’ve been reading some in Blogging For Dummies, and I’m learning a lot of new terminology. However, I’ve noticed a common phenomenon among bloggers for which I would like to create a term of my own. My new phrase is “hit and run.” Currently, I have 64 posts on my blog, have received 2,744 hits, but only 193 comments. That leaves me with a hit and run margin of 2,551. Hit and run refers to those people who visit blogs, but do not leave comments. This probably is a good thing, because if everyone left a comment, my mailbox would be full, and I wouldn’t have time to read all those comments.
On the other hand, my curiousity sometimes gets the best of me, and in the spirit of Goldilocks and The Three Bears, I can’t help but wonder, “Who’s been stopping at my blog?
There Is Hope
It just turned 12 a.m., but I felt compelled to share my latest find. I just returned from my sister Kiki's house, and she informed me of a book called Blogging For Dummies. I checked online with our local library to see if they have it, and they do! I put a copy on hold which will be available to pick up in a few days. This homeschooling mom is going to be doing summer school…………..or should I say blogging school.
