Bruisin’ #5 – 24 kids, a humble request, eVANgelization & Holy Ghost B.O.

19 Nov

I am so excited about what God is doing in our church! Great things are happening. Yesterday we had 24 kids in children’s church. That is a new record for us. They had a great time too. It is the end of the quarter, and Sis. Kolej prepared a Jeapordy like game to help review the things that they have been taught. This last quarter focused on doctrine and Christian living. Those kids were answering correctly too, which shows that they have been listening.

I mentioned in a previous post how a couple of weeks ago, God filled a lady with the Holy Ghost on a Sunday morning.(That was the same morning when someone from a supposed church of satan left a desecrated Bible in front of our doors.)After service yesterday morning, she came up to my husband and said, “Pastor, I would like to humbly request that you would baptized me in Jesus’ name.” I know this is one of those things that is thrilling to the heart of a pastor. Today Linda will be having a Bible study concerning baptism, and next Sunday we will be baptizing her in that name above all names!

Last night during service, my husband let us know that God had answered a prayer request of ours. In my last post, I mentioned how we had need of a van, because we now have a whole passle(spelling?) of kids that want to come to church. God laid it on the heart of a pastor friend of ours in Georgia to have his church take up an offering for us. The offering that was received will be plenty for us to buy a good used van. Hallelujah! We are going to eVANgelize our community and bring more souls to the house of God!

Finally, we had a glorious service last night. There was just such an atmosphere of faith from the very beginning of service. Pastor preached on Whose Report Will You Believe. We had a tremendous move of the Holy Ghost, chock full of dancing in the Spirit, tongue talking, running the aisles, earnestly seeking God and praying with visitors. So many were truly ministered to and touched by the spirit of God. You know it’s a good service when everybody is commenting afterwards on how much they stink and how a shower is going to feel so good. LOL If you are not apostolic, you might not understand this, but I assure you, it happens. The best kind of B.O. to have is Holy Ghost B.O. which is brought on by giving our best in praise and worship.

So………………………………..take that, devil!!

We have been having great church lately, too! When I look at the shape our world is in, I know Jesus is coming soon and I just want to see more and more people get ready to go with us!

Awesome about the offering for a van! God is SO good!
